On-line
education is replacing traditional classroom based courses, and you no longer
have to schedule time to suit others. With Web Supported Distance Learning you
have the best of all worlds with a combination of integrated study material
written, presented, and delivered in a variety of different ways to make sure
that topics are viewed, discussed and reinforced through alternative methods. For
each CIMA subject, registered students will receive the following standard
support package.
Each
study text covers the syllabus in a logical sequence to exactly the right depth.
To assist in the learning process there are practical examples and questions for
self testing.
Experienced
practitioners are on hand at all times to answer any questions you may have
about the topics covered in the study material. If you have any problems with
specific aspects of the course or the study material is not clear, you can ask
the mentor in your own words for an explanation. Mentors can be contacted
through email and will respond promptly. As they are practicing Accountants
rather than lecturers, they will support you with answers drawn from their
considerable work experience.
Portable concise up-to-date notes for revision which you can carry with you at any time to illustrate key techniques and reinforce your learning. Fees

Students may opt to purchase additional audio visual study material which has been prepared by a specialist team of lecturers specifically for the key topics which may be examined. The material also includes exam style questions and answers. The study material covers the key topics of the syllabus from an alternative point of view and is focused toward critical examination areas. The 7 seminars, presented by experienced lecturers can be re-run as many times as you wish. Seminars 1 to 6 are available immediately and the seventh seminar (which includes a full mock examination) is available closer to the exam date. Students will be able to submit a full mock examination for marking. All marked scripts should be returned within seven days of being received. You will not need any extra software to play the seminars or to store them on your computer so that you can listen to them whenever and wherever you wish. The lecture notes are in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader software which can be downloaded for free from ---here--- Audiovisual lectures with supporting notes and study material are not currently available for Papers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 13 and 15. This audio visual material, when available, is only offered in conjunction with the standard support package. The combined cost of standard and audio visual support is £300 per subject. This
unique combination of study material and support provides a flexible balanced
approach, and allows you to learn in the way which suits you best.
We strive to supply study material within ten days, however this process may occasionally take 3 or 4 weeks to complete, after standard support fees have been paid. |
