Minimum entry requirements for CIMA 

The following qualifications are examples of minimum entry requirements for CIMA entry in various parts of the world. In all cases, passes in English Language and Mathematics must be included at either level, at the grades indicated (where * is shown Maths and English must be included at the level indicated).

You will need to have passed 5 subjects in all at the grades indicated, with 2 of these being at advanced level.

Africa

The AL Intelligence test may count as one A level provided a mark of 40 has been reached

Australia Each state and territory has its own secondary education system. A High School Qualification that provides entry into a degree programme is generally accepted.

English Language Requirements

To complete CIMA you need to be proficient in English. To prove this you will need:
  • The Certificate of Proficiency on English (University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate).
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Paper based test: 600 accompanied by a score of 4 in the Test of Written English (TWE); computer-based test: 250
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 6.5 overall and not less than 6.0 in each of the reading and writing sections.
If you are a mature student (25 or over) we will require a letter from your employer stating your proficiency.
